Privacy Policy
What AimsAuto collects through this site, why it is collected, and the control you keep over it.
AimsAuto does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Scope Of This Notice
This notice explains what information AimsAuto gathers through this website, why it is gathered, and the choices available over how it is handled.
It applies to the pages on this domain and to the forms hosted on them. Sites operated by insurers or other outside parties publish their own notices.
Information Collected
- Details entered on a form, such as name, email address, phone number and postal address.
- Vehicle and driving details supplied in order to prepare an auto insurance quote.
- Account information created at registration, including a password stored in protected form.
- Messages sent through the contact form or by email in reply to one.
- Technical information collected automatically, such as browser type, device type, approximate region and pages viewed.
How Information Is Used
- To prepare quotes and answer questions about coverage, limits and deductibles.
- To create and maintain accounts and to keep documents reachable in one place.
- To send service messages about a submitted request, a renewal or a policy change.
- To send marketing text messages about AimsAuto services where the marketing text box was checked at signup.
- To keep the site secure, to detect misuse and to meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Text Message And Phone Consent
The signup form has one optional text message box, for marketing messages about AimsAuto services such as policy explanations, limits checks and coverage reviews. No account or transactional text messages are sent.
Checking the box is optional and is not required to create an account or request a quote. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
A reply of STOP to any text message ends further messages. A reply of HELP returns assistance information.
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Cookies And Site Measurement
Cookies and similar technologies keep the site working correctly and give a general picture of how its pages are used.
- Essential cookies hold basic session state so forms and navigation behave as expected.
- Measurement cookies count page views and show which pages are read most.
- None of it is used to build advertising profiles or to follow anyone across other sites.
- Most browsers allow cookies to be blocked or cleared, though parts of the site may then behave differently.
Sharing With Service Providers
Information is shared only where sharing it is needed to deliver what was asked for.
- The insurance company issuing a policy the customer chooses.
- Providers that handle hosting, email delivery, text messaging and site security.
- Advisers and auditors where a professional obligation applies.
- Authorities where the law requires disclosure or where legal rights need protecting.
- Every provider may use the information only for the task assigned to them.
Data Retention
Records are held only for as long as there is a reason to hold them.
- Account information stays for as long as the account remains open.
- Quote and enquiry details stay long enough to answer the request and any follow up to it.
- Some records are kept longer where tax, insurance or regulatory rules demand it.
- Once no lasting purpose remains, records are deleted or reduced so nobody can be identified from them.
Security Measures
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards protect the information held.
- Connections to the site are encrypted in transit.
- Access to stored records is limited to what a task actually requires.
- Passwords are never held in readable form.
- No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be promised.
Your Choices And Rights
- Request a copy of the personal information held about you.
- Ask for inaccurate details to be corrected or completed.
- Ask for deletion of information that is no longer needed for a lawful purpose.
- Withdraw text message consent at any time by replying STOP.
- Object to certain processing or ask that it be restricted, where the law provides that right.

If details belonging to a minor have been submitted, get in touch using the contacts below and the record will be removed.
